Frequently asked questions

Are my files uploaded to a server?

No. PDFroo processes your files inside your own browser using JavaScript and WebAssembly. Nothing is uploaded, so your documents never leave your device and there is nothing for us to store or delete.

How do I make a photo under 20 KB?

Choose a target size of 20 KB and JPG output. PDFroo lowers quality step by step and, if needed, the dimensions, until the image fits.

Will the aspect ratio change?

Not unless you want it to. “Keep aspect ratio” is on by default; turn it off to set exact width and height.

Which format should I pick?

JPG is best for photos and smallest sizes. PNG keeps sharp edges and transparency. WebP is modern and very efficient for websites.
